For A Wolf

The beauty watches warily
The wolf's approach and sharp blue eyes.
She's scared of his ferocity,
Intimidated by his size.

Sharp claws paw at the ground before
Her and long canines glisten white.
She looks for rescue from terror;
No hope of escape is in sight.

He tears at her skirt, shredding it
She shivers with fear but reaches
Out her hand, chancing being bit.
Growls change to whine as she touches

Wolf butts head against gentle hand
And they both stare with wonder.  Friend?
