Whisper
She sits on the damp sand Sun spills over her Golden and warm
Wind caresses her hair Stirring dark tendrils
Waves lap at her toes Seeking attention
But
Dark eyes stare at cold frothy waves Lost in the gray-green torment
Wind whispers She shivers
Broken shells wash around her Life gone Empty
Wind calls her Echoing loneliness She lifts her head Recognizing the echo
Slender fingers are raised Into the wind
Sighs are lost in the whisper wind As it strokes her and pulls her
Urging
She closes her eyes to the sun and warmth
The wind strengthens Whipping Buffeting
Her image fades A shimmering shadow lost in the wind
A single tear splashes into the waves And is lost
And the wind echoes over empty sand Whispering
Lonely
