HELL

Darkness
surrounds him
envelops him
wrapping itself around him like a luxurious fur

Smooth and silky at first
deceptively beautiful
empty
The life that once filled it
gone forever
Banished and Condemned
like him

his eyes are open
unseeing
pupils wide and black
as Darkness permeates his body
and claims his soul

he stretches out a hand
attempting to feel something physical
anything but Darkness

Darkness reaches back
caressing his hand
slow, sinuous folds of ink
against his skin

his mouth opens
silent screams rip from him
and Darkness rushes in
his open mouth
clogging his throat
suffocating

he shudders
and hears Darkness
soft
detached sounds
muted echoes
distorted
surrounding him
dark whispers crash against him

Welcome to Hell.

This poem is dedicated to Draken.
It is based on a vision that he had.
You can read his original vision here.
I thank God for sending me Draken
and his visions, because they have helped
me re-evaluate some of my beliefs
and remind me of what's real and
what's important.

Thank you, Draken.
