Lori Miller, Awards

You have to decide what kind of awards you want to give. My school has chosen to give trophies to the first place winners in each category. All winners will receive ribbons (blue, red, white, or gold), according to their final scores. You might find that giving certificates of participation is a good alternative.

Be sure if you order printed ribbons or certificates that you allow plenty of time to receive them. If you order ribbons that have to be hand-written, get volunteers to help write winning information on them the day of the fair. Check spelling of all your participants' names! Nothing is more upsetting than to get an award and have your name misspelled.
